Do I need a Visa for Laos for a holiday or business visit?
Yes. All British passport holders need a visa.We recommend this is obtained before departure from the UK. Please note that the nearest Laos embassy is in Paris, and applications can take as long as 30 working days to process.

Any exceptions?
No. All foreign visitors require a visa.

What if I want to apply for my visa(s) myself?
If you wish to apply for a visa from the Paris Visa Office you can, as they offer a postal service.

It is also possible to gain a visa on arrival (at most points of entry), however Sanya Travel does not recommend this course of action, and we recommend you obtain your visa before arrival.

Visas on arrival are issued at 14 international checkpoints through Laos, including Luang Prabang Airport, Pakse Airport and (Wattay) Vientiane International Airport.These visas are valid for stays of up to 30 days, and cost approximately £20/$35 per person.

Do I need a Visa for Cambodia for a holiday or business visit?
Yes. All British passport holders need a visa.

Any exceptions?
No.All foreign visitors require a visa.

Can Sanya Travel organise this application for you?
Yes, we can organise your application for you at an additional cost of £35, which has been included in the total cost chart opposite. The visa is placed in your passport by the Cambodian embassy, and they issue many different types of visas - from business, diplomatic through to tourist. The tourist visa is valid for a single entry and a stay of up to 3 months.

If we are arranging your holiday or business trip, this £35 is well spent, as we will check and double check all the required paperwork prior to it going to the visa office. If we are preparing your travel itinerary and we have booked flights for you, Sanya Travel will deal with the required paperwork. Once we have filled out your application form online, we will send this to you to be signed and sent back to us. The £35 fee for each separate visa includes sending your passports back via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

The visa authorises one visit only, and the maximum length of stay is one month from the date of arrival, within the three month period of validation. If you leave Cambodia and wish to return within the one month period from the date of issue of the original visa, a new application must be completed and approved before re-entry.

What do I need to do now?
You can move forward using the checklist below.

  • Make sure you have a minimum of 1 blank page in your passport.
  • Send Sanya Travel your passport at least 30 days prior to travelling.
  • Fill out a Cambodian visa application form.
  • Two recent identical passport sized photographs. These need to be attached with a paperclip to the application form.
  • The correct payment, if not already incorporated in your invoice.

What if I want to apply for my visa(s) myself and save Sanya Travel's £35 charge?
This is possible.
